I would rather like to opportunity to interact with my pet more, from feeding them to improving their capabilities via interaction ( Tamagotchi ).
I would then like to be able to race against other players with each pet competing against an appropriate other levelled pet.
I would also like a gin and tonic.

You may be on to something here. I like what we have now but there is room for improvement with the sidekick system.
