I play on 6 servers total and I'm in a team on all 6 servers I play on. I live on a different timezone compared to most of my teammates so I don't have people to chat with most of the time.

 

My suggestion:

Have a server chat where every person in the same server can chat with each other. I'm thinking that this could be accessed between the team icon and leaderboard icon. This suggestion could make more friendships between players and teams.

 

 

There are bound to be some problems like:

1.) Players chatting offensive words, which could be solved through reporting the player in-game or through support.

2.) Players spamming the chat, which can be probably be solved by limiting it so that you can only chat every 5 seconds or something near that. This could also be solved by players reporting the spammer.

These are the only problems I can think of for now

It would need a mute button. I did one chatroom once if a person got too many mutes, they were temporarily silenced in chat. Thos worked well wheni 2people argued or broke rules of chat.. People would mute and eventually both silenced.


A thought.

A pop out chat would be ideal.

Hello 

 

Lovely suggestion, I love the idea and I think this would clearly help create some bonds. I think it would be great if for example, it had your name and then the team you're in next to your name or something like that. Overall though I love this idea.
