I am still not entirely sure why highest ranked players should not be rewarded in some way, its obvious most of us simply ignore PVP so either do away with the system or install some form of reason to get players to use it.

IF a ranking reward system is used for a tournament how is that different from rewarding players with most honour?
IF coin percentage system is created wherein players win percentile of money held and users are able to bank money (no doubt with a percentage taken by the bank which could be improved via donut purchase ie 20%standard any improvement on that could be handle in similar manner to boosters improvement via coin then donuts.

Both systems seem to be rewarding activity thus ranking in the already existing would reflect that and players who have already worked towards their characters stats such as Ex would win.

But I for one do not see a fault with rewarding dedication which is really what this game is about...

I rambled so you might want to ignore this.

P.S. Love that this is actually being talked about, really hope something comes from it.

I used to play another game that had exactly this - & it had pro's & con's to it.

The pro's were, it added a level of jeopardy to the game, that you were really loosing something in game that was useful (It also had a banking system that meant you could at least protect your stash, but there was a 10% banking fee to protect it).

It also led to another level of play where players actively chose to be villains rather than hero & went around looking for players with a big stash of cash they could steal (not saying this was good or bad, it was how it was), there were some players that became notorious for this.

The other thing was though that it led to players creating multiple accounts, one they'd use purely to earn money, then they'd hit it with their main character taking the cash so they had extra to spend. Yep it was against the TOS of the other game too but it was rife, & ultimately de-valued the in game currency.
