Do you really expect us yo believe that the mole hunt is random when we have to choose every single dot in order to complete a stage? If it was actually random, at some point you would have to complete it without having to choose every single spot. #devscam

Hey there CWombat!

The only random function in mole hunt is the initial placement of the rewards/moles when the grid is initialised. The numbers in the grid are there to help you solve the puzzle mechanic of the mole hunt. Mole hunt works exactly the same as the age-old game 'minesweeper' except that the numbers do not tell the amount of bombs in the nearby squares but instead they tell the amount of rewards and moles.

I would recommend checking a minesweeper tutorial from Youtube or from somewhere else. That should make it way easier for you to find all moles and rewards in the future with the least amount of shovels spent.

Have a great day!

Those placements are not random. Nice try. If they were, the law of averages says we could complete some of them without having to select every dot. But that is not the case. At best, you one in every three puzzles might allow you to complete it with one square still unselected. But 99% of the puzzles require every square to be chosen so.... not random.

There is a huge difference between trying to find all moles and rewards by randomly opening the dots and actually acknowledging the mechanics of the minigame. As pointed out by other users in this thread, understanding how minesweeper works is crucial in completing the levels successfully and efficiently

like Nallerheim said the game is mineswepper, the numbers tell you hoe many rewards are in the 9dots immediately surrounding the number..if there is a 0  then there will be none so avoid those dots...i usually make that my first stop do sections of 9 dots opening the one in the middle, then that will tell me where to go from there. if you are on the sides then if you get lets say a 2 then there will be 2 rewards in the 5 dots surrounding it since it is located on the side
