i started playing back in 2014 when we had a ghost buster outfit and a slimer sk. i know they retired it but in the sk list it still shows slimer, is there any other way to obtain him or is it just a sad reminder to the blob we can no longer get....

there is no way to get it, but you have nothing to do with it anyway. It is in the list because some old accounts have it from the past.
