Why I don't like tapioca.

First reason:
Tapioca is white (even in black light). So is mayonnaise, which I detest so severely that I will not let it in the house; even if it brought me flowers and blew in my ear. This is not the fault of mayonnaise, but rather due to the mean boys who sat at the back of the bus when I was in middle school. They told a dirty story, completely untrue, about a rather nice girl (probably because they liked her). This remains in my mind.
So tapioca is guilty through association.

Second reason:
Tapioca contains white, quasi-pulpy elements which are semi translucent and largely hide within the "not mayonnaise" goop. As a child I distinctly remember my father eating tapioca; spooning it into his mouth, with his large, fat tongue extended over his lower lip (also fat). The aftermath of this ritual would leave remnants of tapioca upon his mustache which looked like maggots doing that thing that is not fighting, but adults call it fighting because children are in the room.

Compounding this problem is the awful fact that this is food and therefore you put it in your mouth; at least most people do.

I would like to add an addendum to this public service announcement:
While not recusing myself, I fully apologize to any and all tapiocas who have read, are currently reading or will read this. I realize that this is not your fault. You were merely in the wrong place at the wrong time.
