Um without specifics on what the new system will be other than it is under review/discussion, all I can comment is "Good idea". But I will raise a few points that I hope will make it into their discussions...
It would be a shame if they revise the new team system as well to consist of less than 30 as teams will be forced to choose who to divest. Imagine being picked last for a team, now imagine being asked first to leave.
There is a wide range of level differences in the game between players and between current teams. Players who have been with the game longest have an overwhelming stat advantage. Kudos to them and that should not be taken away from them. The flipside are new players who have very weak stats being just fresh off the boat from training island. I mention stats rather than levels as being the highest level does not mean the strongest toon and vice-versa. But teams have a stat called average level and honour for battles seem to be derived from the average level difference between attacking and defending teams. What would be a more accurage guage of a hero's powers, so that fights can be more evenly balanced? Obviouslty basing it on honour is out of the question.
Will players take to the new league their clubhouse boosts? Who would be responsible for maintaining the league? Will it be a new clubhouse system?
What kind of tournament system will be adopted? Swiss Elimination? Round Robins? Last man standing?
HZ Support have been rather underwhelming in terms of responsiveness and timeliness. League events being marquee events, will there be support teams in place to specifically address League event issues IMMEDIATELY so that issues are resolved BEFORE the event completes? Or better yet, before the event starts? Saying that the Devs are looking into it would be rather unsatisfactory. Hate to have something new that will just sit in my queue of support tickets.
How much advance warning will be given to let people know of events? Or will they be fixed days of the year?
Well I suppose that will be enough chaff for the mortar and pestle for now...
