I'm a masochist so here are a bunch of suggestions and stuff. If my track record is anything to go by, maybe 1 or 2 of my ideas will make it into the game :)

 

PRAISE

  • I am pleasantly surprised by the sidekicks system. The different stats and abilities of the pets adds a new element of strategy, while levelling up sidekicks adds a new objective to gameplay. That's not to say I don't think improvements could be made though.
     
  • The Halloween event, given the quests and the special Halloween sidekick, was a big improvement on last year's event. I really like the quests and I hope to see quests for all major events from now on. I'm also hopeful there will be a Christmas sidekick. However, I do have a problem with the Halloween event which I'll write about below.

TEXT ERRORS

  • Spelling error: in the team statistics under trophies, it says "[number] in possession simulateously". This should be spelt simultaneously.
     
  • Grammatical error: in Paris there is a mission with the text "In France there have to protests again. Now don't be ashamed- join them!" This isn't grammatically correct. Perhaps "there have to be protests again" was intended, but this doesn't sound very natural to my ears. "There have to be more protests" sounds a little better but as the mission text ends with "join them" I feel it would be better to have a clearer reference to "them" in the first sentence, e.g. "In France the people have to protest again". However I also feel "The people of France" would sound more natural than "In France the people", so my suggested mission text would be one of the following, of which I prefer the latter:

    -The people of France have to protest again. Now don't be ashamed - join them!

    -(my preference) The people of France have to hold more protests. Now don't be ashamed - join them!

NEW OPTIONS

  • TURN OFF FIGHTING SOUNDS OPTION: The sound effects during fights, of players striking and being hit, sound pretty stupid and go on for a long time. That can be very annoying if you are trying to concentrate on something else, and lots of people are doing something else when playing HZ because it's an idle game. Turning off all game sounds isn't a good solution because some people (myself included) use the sounds as cues to tell them when missions/training/etc. has ended. The only problem I see with muting only the fight sounds is that players won't know when a fight begins, and that's important as some people want to know when the fight begins so they can skip it to save time. My suggestions for options:

    A) TURN OFF FIGHTING SOUNDS option (game makes all sounds EXCEPT the fighting sounds - this option does NOT turn off the final sound after a fight which is different whether you won or lost) plus AUTO-SKIP FIGHTS option  (automatically skips the fight and takes you straight to the reward, with the final sound playing)

    b ) TURN OFF FIGHTING SOUNDS option (game makes all sounds EXCEPT the fighting sounds - this option does NOT turn off the final sound after a fight, and also adds a NEW SOUND at the beginning of a fight)

     
  • AUTO SKIP FIGHTS option: Even if the turn off fighting sounds option is not considered, I still think an auto-skip fights option would be a good idea and would save me many clicks. Though it would perhaps be best to divide it into several separate options: a) autoskip mission fights, b ) autoskip duel fights, c) autoskip team fights
     
  • DONUT SPENDING CONFIRMATION: oft-requested feature, and one I think I have suggested before, is an option to have an additional confirmation popup before spending donuts so that players don't end up wasting donuts due to misclicks
     
  • END WORK CONFIRMATION: this one is from the Kong comments, someone accidentally cancelled work just before it was due to finish, confirmations would be good to avoid that too

HEROIC DEEDS

  • IMPROVE DEED REWARDS: Some of the deed rewards are way too low, in particular the newer ones relating to sidekicks, mission refresh and heroic sense. Here are some examples of the ones I think DEFINITELY need increasing:

    #13 One Time New Missions Please (refresh your mission offers) - 36 coins
    #14 The Full Vista (activate your heroic sense) - 36 coins
    #61 Where do you see things like this? I (10 times refresh missions) - 206 coins

    and older ones like

     #32 No Pain, No Gain VIII (2500 hours worked) - 2 donuts
    Shopping Tour series
    New Used Stuff series
    Sweet Tooth series

    I feel in these cases and in many others, the reward is still not proportional to the amount of time, effort and/or coin/donuts spent necessary to complete the deed.
     
  • RECONSIDER GIVING ITEMS AS DEED REWARDS: I especially feel that receiving an item as a deed reward almost always feels like a ripoff. Items are so abundant from other sources that it is not a reward to get an item from a deed. The deed reward items are often common items which are worse than what I already have and thus must be sold for no more than ~10-15k coin. In my opinion items should not be rewards on any hard-to-obtain deeds, or at the very least it should be guaranteed you will get a rare or epic item.
     
  • NEW DEEDS - After playing on this server for over a year, it's become very rare to complete a deed. I doubt I even complete one a week. That makes me pretty sad. So I repeat a suggestion I have made in the past, to add more deeds for endgame players so there isn't a drought of completable deeds.
     
  • ITEM DEEDS - I would also like to see deeds for obtaining rare items like holiday items (pumpkin mask, dracula cape, bunny suit, pirate hat etc.), holiday sidekicks, or for getting ironic suit items, as currently there isn't any motivation to get most items like that apart from the desire to look cool. The upcoming set bonuses will change that a little but only for certain full sets of items. Also there could be item catalog completion deeds which I will elaborate on below.

NEW GAME FEATURES
 

  • ITEM CATALOG/DRESSING ROOM - this would be an area of the game (possibly linked to the washing machine) that a player can go to in order to look at all the items in the game, including those the player does not have. The player will be able to try on items they do not own and experiment with different combinations of items. Items the player doesn't yet own could possibly have descriptions detailing what level you need to be to obtain them, whether they are common, rare or epic, or any extra requirements for obtaining them (e.g. can only be obtained during Halloween) The catalog gives a percentage of completion, indicating how many of the items the player has possessed, and there will be deeds for certain milestones such as 5% or 10% completion. This will add more motivation to collect items for the way they look rather than what the stats are. After the item catalog is added to the game, hovering over items in the shop, missions, special missions etc., will tell you whether you have the item in your catalog yet - this info will help people complete their catalogs.
     
  • SPECIAL SHOP REFRESH - this is more expensive than a conventional shop refresh (2 or 3 donuts) but has a much higher chance of having epic, rare, sidekicks or holiday items. It's therefore more efficient if someone is specifically looking for the harder to find items. This is because I often see people complaining about how hard it is to find holiday items or sidekicks in the shop. If not this, some other way to make it easier to find those holiday items

IMPROVEMENTS/CHANGES TO EXISTING FEATURES

  • BUFF COURAGE TROPHIES: currently they're mostly dead weight. I feel they should have some extra benefit added so that they are at least worth the -10% to stats in team fights. I seem to remember on the Facebook HZ page you said you'd give each courage trophy +1 shop refresh, but that's not terribly beneficial overall...
     
  • BUFF DUEL REWARDS: I feel also that the rewards from duelling need to be better. Perhaps scale the coin reward up more.
     
  • GIVE OLD LEVEL 30 SIDEKICKS MORE VALUE/FUNCTION -  eventually everyone's going to end up with a sidekick page full of level 30 sidekicks. Some of them will have worse stats or worse abilities than the player's preferred sidekick(s), and thus will never be used by the player once they have been levelled up to 30 for the deeds. They will therefore no longer have any value. My suggestion is to add a way, or several ways, in which old level 30 sidekicks will still have some value. Perhaps you guys at Playata can come up with some better ideas for that than me. But I suggest, either, a level 30 sidekick can be TRADED for coin or donuts, or if you are not using a level 30 sidekick, you can give it a job. The job lasts for a certain time and will give you a reward at the end, of coins or possibly donuts. Perhaps it could last for 24 hours and at the end you get either some coins, a donut or an item. Something like that, anyway.
     
  • BATTERY REQUESTS: please please please pleaaaaase give us (specifically players on Kong or anywhere else that doesn't have a friends list) a way to block or sort our battery requests. Even just a way to delete more than one at once would be an improvement
     
  • SCROLL BAR FOR HEROIC DEEDS INSTEAD OF PAGES: will make the heroic deeds interface easier to navigate, currently takes way too long and way too many clicks if you want to go look at the first deeds
     
  • DROP DOWN ZONE SELECTION: A drop down selection box for zones, or at least some quicker way to get from zones that aren't next to each other.  Getting from zone 11 to zone 1 currently takes TEN CLICKS. My poor index finger.
     
  • HOLIDAY QUESTS - do not include villains in the holiday quests! For halloween we had to kill a zombie villain for one of the quests. This was a big problem for many players. Some just do not have enough time to be here often enough to catch a villain. For others, they were not able to be online when the zombies were here because the zombies appeared almost exclusively at the same time every day. (This is particularly a problem for US1 server which has players from all over the world. The zombie villain time may have been fine for most US players but for players in Europe and further east, most of the zombies were during night time when everyone was sleeping) Nobody should be unable to complete the event because of that. Either you must not require players to kill villains for an event, OR you make it easier to kill holiday villains by implementing these sorts of changes:

Holiday villains appear AT LEAST twice a day, at different times of day, so virtually everyone has a chance of catching one eventually no matter how much they play or at what time they play
 

There is an in-game warning telling all players EXACTLY when the next holiday villain will be

Donut spending and end work confirmation - absolutely agree. Just as well as improving rewards.

 

With item rewards, maybe it can go to suggestion that they must be something special.

 

Considering, that we, mostly, must owe the item at least once to make a copy of it, maybe if the deeds left with itemd reward option, maybe it would give us the item we don't have yet, or have something original, unobtainable from other sources. Although, of course, players who already finished that, would be in bad situation. But hey, they could just be auto-added to list of things we can do.

 

And that's where this thing with catalog/dressing room, will come in handy. Although i still feel, that it's a little unfair to wear things we don't have)

 

I'd say, as we go with dreams about shops, we could just as well go thinking about tailor shop.

 

For sidekicks, i also can suggest, that maybe sending it for work, well, considering usual work thaat already bring us money, maybe the amount of 30 level sidekick could affect the amount of money we get, or, if they have their own missions/work, maybe we can choose how many of them send to it, increasing profits, and, maybe, possible chance for occational donut again.

 

Of course i could say that maybe should've offered them to bring exerience instead of money, but even with illogical things that already in this game, this is still rather unexplainable.

 

Agree with all other points in improving existing features without adding much.
