In a long run that we had through all those years, there is nothing much in particular, not big place for change... well, except for people leaving and all that. But mostly, it's the same old, like an old village where populaion slowly declines, all know everyone and when situation demands, can remember happy times or old grudges.

My question is, what we can do to change boring world of slowly either dying out and/or being dinosaurs? Any ideas?

Except for making new team with old members and pretend that it's fresh. It's rotten inside, guys.

*rolls eyes*

Anyway there is a thought there. Maybe we really need to destroy and start anew, i thought. But not in that simple way of leaving old building that was there and move to the outskirts. What if we had options to, i dunno, reborn a team to start a new life of it, but with some added things? I mean, no one in their right mind wouldnt reset their place or character without reason tempting enough to do that, without getting something in return. Not exactly a new game plus, but something.

What would've made any of you to agree for reset, what new experience or compensation you would like  from starting it all over again?

Hello everybody,

I'm a player from Germany. I played on US3 for more than 4 years, of which US3 was the highest / most recent US server for 3 years. -> That was really fun !!!
After the start of US5 I stopped here and started on a new German server. In Germany there is a new server every 6 months, meanwhile 22 servers (!!). I'm a "dinosaur" on Server 19. Have been leading a team since the server started (1.5 years). There is not a single player left in the team from the early days.
Fror me there is no way that tp start over on a newer server.

The only way I see to bring fresh wind in the game it is that Playata creates either one server per country or an international server to which all long-term players can switch with their old characters / acc.
Or basically the possibility is created that players can switch to older servers (e.g. from US5->4->3->2 to US1)

(Sorry for my bad english) ;)

Server merging/migration? Well, i dunnno technical specifications of their servers and if this could be done at all, but if i think about it as possibility, to balance things out, probably at least levels and abilities should be lowered to level of the character with highest stats on the server, but the most low between all top character.

Well, for example, taking top players from all servers, with levels from 500 to 800, making everyone 500. But with something given back for taking levels out. Same with abilities, if it's between 15k and 30k basic skills (i know the numbers could be different, but ya know) making it back to the lowest between all them, 15k in this example, again, with some compensation for that.

different starting times lead to different numbers between dedicated players, so otherwise merging would be rather unfair to players on new servers.

As for what is given, I'm just not sure. cosmetics for serving years? kiiiinda cheap. Even if it'll take good designer work.

Some new type of currency? nah, we have enough of it, i mean, it's coins. donuts. also season points could be considered. Making another one is just a little bit too much. Although of course, if nothing else that could be acceptable, depending on what could be bought for that.

New servers make too much money for them to change that model tbh, more people spend at the start of a server especially for teams. Same goes for nationality servers, alot of people spend to be competitive, so if you turn your many ponds into one big ocean a few big sharks are gonna eat everybody else quick :P

These US servers are home to some real minnows in terms of spending compared to what is out their internationally, I really don't think you want what you think you do :P

As a further point, servers get to a certain point where the table is pretty set until somebody quits,,  and then a new round of servers often gets launched. When you all get roughly the same resources to play with, the way things fall in the first few months can create leads that would take a long time to get back, and why shouldn't it? But it does make it suck and feel impossible for those behind the pack. I believe they've tried using SK's lately to fix some of that, but all that is doing is turning fights into complete RNG rolls of the dice, which if pushed too far will end up unfair on the person investing to be ahead..

Just look at each US server us4 on 6 months after launch, 90% of the competition that started is gone by that point, and its not because the servers are regional but because once they realize they can't compete at top 10 level (either with money or activity) they quit and go back to whichever server they had the best start in before until the next round of servers and then try again. Have seen multiple people take this approach across multiple regions :P

How would a global server help that? Or merging?

I have a question for you though, would you recommend this game to other people in its current state? Because I don't think i would right now.

Not with how much time it requires to spend everything daily, the limited gains for amounts of money invested, the constant periodic increase in prices, the lack of information and interaction on our regional forums, the fact almost every event is a rinse and repeat of the previous year, the fact almost all of the new sk's in the last year have been unique events, passes or casino's and not available for any player after those events, and that they rehash so many of the same SK skills and mechanics with new skins and sometimes slightly different numbers without anything really innovative and original, and yeah the problems you mentioned above with new servers drawing away new players (most temporary i'm telling you :P), and the fact if a large account quits on one of these servers its felt hard.

With all those things together, i wouldn't tell people i play let alone recommend it :/

US6 started with over 3 teams of fully active players, so 100+ and 6 months in rank 1 honor is almost 100k above rank 15, rank 1 level is over 100 levels over rank 20 level, the top 100 is littered with afk quitters and we haven't even had a US7 release yet. Guess my point here is that the issues go far beyond just multiple servers splitting a dwindling playerbase, and that new servers renew levels of activity like nothing else does in my experience, the first 3 months of a server are the best 3 months for competition, and then basically anybody above you remains unbeatable until they quit, anybody below is always beatable unless you slack off...

Sorry for the lack of answer, was busy with my current life and it's own minor problems.

As an answer for your question, nah, i wouldn't. Mind you, doesnt stops me from playing it, mostly due to force of habit and a few people. But starting new? No. Way.

Sure, a few days in it it feels attractive and can get you hooked up, because, well, sense of achievment! In the beginning it feels satisfying how you get something for everything you've done, so the pace at which it goes kinda good and you feel like doing your thing have an impact and rewarding. But then it slows down and you are not feeling it anymore. it's just inertia that keeps you going, from that first push. And that's when you discover that this game is kinda like endless space, which is, to say, mostly empty. And most of the time, there is nothing massive enough to attract you, just so much gravity to go around.

Not that i would be screaming "OH NO! I pushed myself in the wrong direction!" There isn't wrong. If you are lucky you have company in that travel, and it's as good reason as it is. But there is no meaning to travel itself. And the view outside the window not as starry anymore.

So, take care of your companions. They are mostly the only good part of the game, people who are still here.
