Awoke 4am (Texas time), spent 45 min searching. No luck yet. I'm getting to where I DISLIKE this particular task. They should make it a little easier to find, especially when you have 7 or 8 items to locate. Some of us don't have that kind of search time. I'm going back to bed.

Found today's ball: in the 'Missions' main page on one of the arrows that you move to select a region.

Found today's ball: in the 'Booster' window. Mine is on the 'Work Booster' icon.

Found today's ball: open the 'Sewing Machine' window and it's in the 'Collections' tab.

for today: ranking lists, then click on "weekly tournament" and ball will appear

Guys nevermind I found it, It's on when you will donate coins and things to the team, its on the donut

What if you're a solo player like me? I'm not on a team, and won't be for a while, yet. 
Where do I find the ball then?  

Never mind. I already found it, but unfortunately, I don't have any idea where it was.

I can't figure how how to create a new thread so I'll add the location of the first ball here.

 

Click on the Sewing Machine. It's in the lower right hand corner of the first collection that appears.
