There is a problem with this workshop for modifications. The team bonus is calculated for a team with 30 players but there a lot of teams with less players and even if all players got a good lvl of workshop the team bonus is an arithmetic mean of 30 players so bonus for team it will be much lower.
I suggest that team bonus to be calculated according to numbers of players of that team in that moment.
Ex. now: a team with 30 players and let's say all players have lvl25 for workshop it will have also team bonus 115%.
But a team with 25 players (all with lvl 25) will have a team bonus lower than 115%.

I could see this being exploited by people making a new team, where they're the only person and getting max gear, then re-joining their main team. Maybe there is a different way to rework the bonus?

They will lose some things: herocon solo, herocon team, bonus from trophies in that day, if he/she is a donor in that team it will lose history of donations, also losing info with how old is in that team and plus can be a limit: if a team has less than 5 players (team bonus for workshop can be set to zero).

It is a lot of work trying to build and maintain a team with 30 players. The current system is a reward for all of the hard work that goes into such an accomplishment. The simplest solution is to recruit and encourage fellow team mates to become stronger. It is the foundation of Riff Raff and it has paid off for all of our members.

There r so many semi-dead servers with not enough players to fill few teams with active players. One solution could be Playata to set default server to join the game by rotation. 1st month server1, 2nd month server2 and so on.

I only play on US3. Here we have many players. If the other servers have fewer players it would indeed make it harder to fill a given team. However, every team on each server would still have the same handicap, wouldn't they?

Yea, the same handicap. But I am a positive person so my preference is to have the same bonus not the same handicap.
