I collected my 75 hints for the first part of CSI: Big Crumble over a 2 week period, and I always use all 4 extra 50 minutes of energy every day, all 300 minutes daily, unless I need to work overtime or sleep a few extra hours, for at least 28 out of a 30 day month.  I started on "one suspicious clue" a week ago, last Friday, and other than having to do 10 timed missions or fights in Humphreydale or whereever, for a daily quest, I have stayed inside the Big Crumble zone using almost all 300 minutes for most of the last 7 days, to make sure it stays active, like the 75 paper clues, if you don't stay in the specific zone all of the time, it takes awhile to give you the first clue again when you go back to that zone. I read the description about a fake construction site, and I thought I might have had to do something different, and I'm assuming I'm looking for an actual item, like the 75 quest clues were, but it's not popping for me for at least 7 days now, with me staying in this zone MOST of the past week?

It's an actual item, you're correct. Stay in the area like you've been doing, I had a team member who spent many many days finding the clue, it's all about luck.

Yeah I think they adjusted the drop rate to the point of it essentially not existing anymore.

It can take a variable amount of time. I found the clue after 4 days, but one of my team mates didn't get it for 12 days.
