So, has anyone else noticed that we're REQUIRED to use doughnuts for at least one of these tasks? And I don't mean that in the way that it'll take a lot of effort, I mean it's REQUIRED.

 

We have 7 days, and we're expected to use the washing machine 10 times in those seven days. Even if one of the days gives us double washing machine uses, that's still only 8 free goes. Meaning you'll need to spend at least 2 doughnuts to complete that task.

 

While that might not seem like much, it's becoming a trend, what with more and more features requiring doughnuts to even be used. Adding more storage tabs, adding outfits, which costs around £4 of doughnuts to unlock just one (depends on which offer you've gone for). Those, while useful, were at least not mandatory to play the game and complete tasks. But now we've got this. And like I said, 2 doughnuts might not be much, but it's continuing the trend this game has been sliding towards, and, to an extent, I suppose it has always been guilty of... while it's free to play, it's also pay to win. Even in most of the HeroCons, the team with the members most willing to sink money into the game and buy doughnuts tends to win.

 

I'm fine with the game being pay to win, to an extent. I'm fine with it giving hard tasks that require a lot of time and attention to complete. I'm not fine with it giving you a specific task like this where you are required to spend doughnuts to do what it is asking. It just doesn't sit right with me, and I imagine it doesn't sit right with some of you as well.

 

And some may point out that there may very well be a doughnut prize for completing the tasks... but, imagine someone with no doughnuts and no money to spare for them. They're basically stuffed. They're gonna have to hope the game is nice and gives them the doughnuts. And even then, there are better things to spend said doughnuts on, like missles.

 

I dunno. Maybe I'm just kicking up a fuss about nothing. Who knows? People are good at kicking up fusses about nothing.

Thank you for your input though. Agree with you on all points. I am seriously broke on donuts, and struggle to pay for my 10 donut booster (shit luck you could say.. I rarely get donuts in missions, duels.. I will never buy a donut), so for me, 3 donuts will probably slow down my booster for a few days.

I can't say that I suffer the same issues. I don't tend to buy the doughnut boosters, they're just not worth it in my mind. What I end up spending doughnuts on is sometimes re-rolling the Heroic Deeds, and on refreshing the shop to get more missles. So while I am usually alright for doughnuts, I understand that some are not, and aren't really going to be able to justify paying for or even afford to buy doughnuts simply for this task.

Apparently nothing. So why they've called it 'Summer Double Week' is a mystery.
