- sell items

- use energy

- buy skill points

- collect glory

- finish fight missions

- win special mission fights

- do hero distress calls

- do duels -> more points for winning them

- sell items II

- produce modifications

- collect special items

- do time missions

- attack a villain

- level up your sidekick

These are the heroic weekly team missions.  Seriously they are suppose to be random.  I don't see random anywhere, I see only ones that make or let people pay with donuts.  How long has it been since buy skill points?  Over 2 months.  How many times in the past 2 months have special missions been up?  Twice.  How many times have sell items been up?  Twice.   Villain?  Twice.  Plus we have make mods, level up sidekick, missions.

Please tell me when we have had in the past year Do Hero Distress Calls?   NEVER.  If my characters are accumulating over $700 million between buying skill points there is a huge issue.  We NEED variety, not just the ones that make money for Playata because people buy donuts.  Easter is next week, and there will be a special villain, can I make a wager that next week's herocon is Villain attacks?

Come on, lets see variety / random?

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience

Again, let's do level up sidekicks which we just had like 3 to 4 weeks ago.

And this is not fair to new players since they don't get a lot of sidekicks right at the start and their first one is at level 60.  So they can't even help a team until at least then and they have 1 side kick for how long?

Since the introduction of the Hero Distress Call HeroCon 24 HeroCons have passed and there are 14 different HeroCons. The chance of getting the Hero Distress Call HeroCon is exactly 7,14% every week (<- pretty low)

By calculating 0,9286^24 you can see that the chance of not getting this HeroCon for one time in 24 weeks is 16,9% (-> so it's possible and completely normal)

If you want me to, I can also calculate it for the other examples you listed above.

This is simply how a random process works.

If you roll the dice 6 times you'll most likely not get 1,2,3,4,5,6 exactly one time.

Cheers.

I think we understand what you are saying here. But I don't think you understand how us as the players feel about how the 'randomness' is played out. You can say how random it is, but the looks on our side does not really compute.

Maybe what we should say is that it doesn't seem like it is a good method for selecting the herocons.
So maybe that is what needs to be said. A more reasonable way to have the cons selected would be great.

It should eliminate the selected one until all types are done. For example with your die. Roll a 4. Then remove 4 four odd go up it will be a 6. Roll a 2 now 2 and 4 gone. Odds go up it's a 6.

If you have a set number of cons, how about just making a schedule. There is no guess work, no need to wonder.

Everyone will have the same equality because everyone would know when the con was coming.

This accomplishes several things hopefully:

  • no griping about the cons randomness (or lack of)
  • everyone knows exactly what con is next
  • no back to back con possibility
  • no need for the "random" program generator as they would be set cons.

Having said that, I think a few cons could also be eliminated as most people don't like them or they are deemed unfair by location (like villain). Maybe do a vote, pick the top 8 to 10 cons and then devise a schedule. You could post a con calendar on the forum and never have to worry about this again. :)

There are quite a few that are not fair to new or low level players.

Villains - not everyone has access to all zones.  You have to be level 300 for them all.
Special Missions - You don't get them all at once.  You have to do it in stages by level
Sidekicks - You don't get your first one until level 60, then you are not always lucky to get a 2nd one right after.
Making Mods - Your hideout has to be level 12 to build this room
Hero Distress Calls - You can at least get this earlier because it is level 40 when you can get them, which isn't hard to do in a few days, but still.....

Yet these are the Herocons that continue to repeat and repeat.

I understand the random generator, but this has been close to a year now since they started.  Even randomness would not say every 3-4 weeks the same thing over and over again.

People in game are complaining about them, maybe my suggestion could be forwarded to the developers.

Funny how a 16.9% chance to get a Herocon once in 24 weeks is so slim, but every one that makes you spend donuts must have a much higher percentage.  We have had making mods in last 8 weeks and oh look, here it is again.  Why?  Because the donut users will spend hundreds of them just to get an epic.  And 12 weeks later there is still no spend coins on stats.  Why?  Because NOT ONE DONUT would be spent on that one.

to be honest, I am ok with that HC not showing up ;) Random was already explained --- shitty, but, if you go remove one after being used, it is not really random. And trust me on this one, no one will like scheduled HCs.

Do it as a pilot project and we will see the response... Although, could be great for company, doubt it will be fun for Heroes and you ;)

Personally, I don't have real time to save 200 million every 2 months. If you do, great for you! ;)
