The addition of having modified gear is excellent. It brings new life to the game and has given purpose to the hideout. I think most people absolutely love the idea. However, there is a lot of frustration over the seemingly random inclusion of the open mod slots. I understand that the slots on most gear should be random, otherwise the excitement of getting the modified gear will fade away and become the norm.
I do feel that the matching set items purchased with donuts in the surprise boxes and the sets purchased with actual money should be guaranteed to have an open slot. In the past, buying the surprise/epic boxes has always been a gamble, because you may not get the piece you are hoping for. If you want a specific piece, you need to cough up the real money and purchase it. I think this is fair and should remain the same. However, that gamble goes from being fun to frustrating when we have to not only get the piece we are hoping for, but also get that piece of gear with an open slot. I have spent countless donuts, and real money, trying to get the right items, only to be disappointed. again, i understand the fun and the fairness in the idea of it being a bit random. However, there comes a point when i will likely quit buying/spending donuts on items if there is no guarantee of it having a slot.
This problem could also be solved by allowing us to craft slots into matching set gear. Perhaps only allowing these new slots to be crafted once the entire set is owned, would be a good way to keep some sort of limit on this.
Thank for always keeping the game fresh and new, so those of us who cant seem to walk away can continue to be entertained.
