The language Hero Zero is in is fixed depending on what server you are playing on. English on US and UK servers, German on the German servers, Romanian on the Romanian server. And so on.

But lots of people want to play on other servers, to meet new people, to play another Hero Zero character. Obviously, it's against the Terms of Use to make two characters on the same server. I wanted to join the new Romanian server so I could play another character from the beginning of a server's creation, to be instrumental in the formation of new teams and groups of players - helping to form the landscape of a new server. But obviously, everything is in Romanian. I know my way around the game from experience, but I would not be able to understand which missions to do to fulfil certain deeds, for example.

There are already many people who make new characters on different servers, but probably have difficulty playing because they do not understand the language. I think if you added the option of changing the language in the Account settings, more people would be motivated to play on multiple servers.

At the very least, you could announce to everyone when new servers are opening, since I would like to join one as soon as a new server starts.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a 'German' server or a 'Romanian' server? If language was controlled on each server what would be the point in having other ones designed for different nationalities? They may aswell call them Server1, Server2, etc and let anyone play.

Anyone can play. The servers are specific to one country so that the majority of the players are likeminded and can communicate in the same language, but the fact is anyone can sign up for any server as long as they don't mind potentially not being able to communicate with others (and that's not really a huge concern as you hardly need to talk to anyone in this game at all). It's a reality right now that people go to play on other servers so that they can have another character, experience a different server environment, etc. - Revis used to play on the Turkish server despite not speaking any Turkish, he even ran a team there - and I don't see why Playata shouldn't encourage this by offering other language options since it will prolong players' interest in the game and open up the possibility of players buying more donuts for use on other servers.

The existing country-specific server system is fine by me, since most people will want to play with people who speak the same language. But for people who want to play on multiple servers, or people whose countries don't even have their own servers, it's not really ideal to have the language of the game decided by whatever server you're on.

Interesting

It would be nice to have a /command to auto detect an translate different languages (currently use google translator) this would be great as not everyone has the patients to use it GT and will help break the language barrier an give everyone a chance to join a team regardless of language.

That's a neat idea. But how hard would it be to implement something like that?

Impossible with today's tech in a small game like this. Playata doesn't have the resources to route all custom player text/messages through an automated translator, and even if they could, the result would be incredibly flawed. Google Translate rarely makes much sense. We're pretty far off from decent automated translation in all the languages of the world, or even just the ones Playata's servers are in. Automated translation in real time BEFORE the text reaches the intended recipient is more the domain of science fiction than reality right now.

My suggestion was just about the language of the actual game. Since a lot of games let you change the game language in the settings and the game text already exists in many different languages on other servers, it doesn't seem implausible to add a language option.
