Im just a fellow player, but according to the faq, names are only changed by support if they are offensive or violate the ToC in some other way. You may state your case to support for consideration, they may allow the change as a goodwill gesture if you can make a strong case.

An abilty to chnage your team name would be good though. Maybe if it even cost donuts.

We really should keep this whole "renaming" issue down to a minimum.
There are many users who misuse their char name / team name (swearwords or the like) so if we give this ability to the users, the whole system would go nuts
