You have a ship with a rope ladder hanging over the side each rung is a foot apart and the ladder is 6 feet. At low tide the ladder is 1 rung or 1 foot beneath the surface of the water. If the tide rises at a rate of 6 inches a hour. How long before the next rung is below the surface?

That all depends on if the ship is sea worthy or not.

He's right... a seaworthy vessel will 'rise' with the tide, so the level relative to the water's surface remains the same... a leaking vessel will be lower in the water, how much depends on the severity of the leak...

if you can't find the lugs, take one lug from each wheel....3 lugs per wheel will hold till you can buy replacements

Since no one has left a riddle in awhile, I'll start it up again. A man lights a cigarette. He takes two puffs and ashes it. It's still the same length as before he lit it. How is this possible?

A calender

12 branches=months

 4 branches=weeks

 7 birds=days of the week

I was stuck on an analog time piece for some reason.

I went with calender in stead of year due to it being a tree and trees' make paper for calendar to be printed on.
