I was thinking, a way to really make things interesting in the game would be "team skills".
This would be much like sidekick skills or trophies, but they effect the whole team and are customizable.
These skills, or "modules" as I'll call them to avoid confusion, could be "bought" and switched out by teams into their HQ or clubhouse.
Modules could give various skills to all members of the team much like sidekicks have and/or bonuses like trophies give.
This could not only help balance the game, but also create a whole new level of team and individual strategy as well as get players to join teams more designed to their build preferences rather than just what's the strongest team they can get on.
Some modules may have more long term effects like extra training or energy, while others might provide short term advantages like sidekick skills do.
These could also be swapped out at different times to make for different advantages, though to nix the unfair ways this could be abused, perhaps removing a mod would cause it to be lost forever and need to be rebought once it is removed.
Modules could also be given away as prizes and give rise to a whole new platform of competition where teams enter tournaments to battle each other for exclusive module prizes. Teams could be grouped in tiers reflective of their average level and therefore give teams from the lowest to the highest the ability to try and win these exclusive modules and thus not give the advantage simply to the most powerful team on a server.
