Sometimes it is beneficial to help out low level players on the team and I think a cool way to do this would be to loan them money from the team bank that would cost the team nothing but the player would be in debt and would pay the money back automatically by 5% of the money made in duels and missions going straight to the team until the loan plus 20% is paid off. The team and the player must consent to this.

i must say, I've read half a dozen variations on the team bank idea. all were turned down by the community so far, because they were either exploitable by multis, or hampered people interaction, or simply didnt bring any significant benefit to the game...

this take is actually new.

would have to restrict the decision makers (adv or only leader)

cash available to a player would have to be severely capped, since you could easily stat up some low-level to kill big players with sufficient coin (screw the fact he wont be able to repay forver - you create a strong team player out of thin air almost. cant have insta-heroes)

at the core, it takes the "interest" aspect of a bank, but links it to the activity of a certain player, instead of auto.
would add a feature earning money directly for the team...

needs some more balancing. thumbs up.

You could make a low level player into a ultra player lol. Sorry to say but ... it just wouldn't work....

Yeah but it would take a team that could put that kind of money into an ultra player but so can anyone else who has a good team together so I think it would work. Caprica is right it needs balanced but im not sure yet how to balance it yet. It seems like something that I would have to have more data to understand more of how it would effect the gameplay. I think that to make an ultra player it would take at least 30-40 thousand coins that would not be going towards expansions. I think it would create a meta-strategy where teams would pour money into their front runners so as to take on other front runners or smash the weak opponents. The interesting thing is that they may not want to level up because it would be much more beneficial to be the first to attack. This is good for balancing because at lower levels you cannot make as much coins so by making a ultraplayer you are deducting from how much they produce in gold. This idea may need a few edits but I think overall it will balance itself.

I much prefer the original idea
- evolving away from the "superplayer"
+ and more into the idea of making players work to add interest to the teams bank account.

the other concept is something like a team effort monster/mascot/machine
and thats a whole different story - also worth debating... but lets do that elsewhere. stay with the bank loan idea.

lets say there is a new special mission area called the team vault.
the leader may create the "steps" of this dungeon with team cash.
say a step may cost 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10000 coins
the steps only appear once they are paid for

a team player now accepts the team loan quest.
his first step of simply accepting gives him a reward of say 1000 coins
the next steps availabe are the -pay back steps- : could be energy or just time. maybe 3 steps or so.
after he completes the payback steps, he receives no reward, but the team cash box is refunded 1500 (from the original 1000 investment). he could take on a different loan quest if available.

I love this idea but it doesn't sound any different than putting your character to work for an hour to make 500 coins. I think that if this vault happened that it should contain a random villain that the team attacked and this would give everyone on the team coins and xp. I do think that this is however not a bank loan idea but still an investment nonetheless.

Anyway thumbs up on that idea.

I still support my original idea so please like my posts if you agree and like caprica's if you agree with her

Suggestions are always welcome so please keep the ideas rolling

villain in vault --> team missions (in planning as far as we know)

im actually trying to stick with your original idea precisely

it would be different from "work" in the following manner:

work is long term idleness with minimal benefit, no player interaction involved
team loans give you a good lump of cash right away, requires activity for payback (not idle)
involves team play and benefits the team as well as your hero.
could make the repay-steps also cost energy, but that might make it less appealing.
it be something more to do once you run out of energy - just like missions.
and just like missions there could be a cooldown timer involved...
so it could fit swell with structures that are already implemented.

So if this is like missions it would need something like determination because youre grinding it out for the team.

I dont think that the leader should have to set this up but I think that the team should be able to upgrade it so that either the "determination" missions could get shorter and they could get through the payback steps quicker and be able to more quickly recieve another loan.

Also the more it upgrades the more money that can be loaned at a time.

I think that once the payback steps are complete a percentage should be credited to the team. This makes more since because the loan is like an investment you should make something back.
