Are you kidding me?  A Herocon task needs to be available to all players. You just put a villain in Paris which robs everyone under level 130 from participating. Many of my team members are under 130 and got up early to participate.  We have been working hard all week to be in the top 10 against fully expanded teams. This was completely unfair to us and you need to correct it next time you program a herocon so that all villains show up in HUMPHREYDALE where everyone can participate.

Feeling robbed of my opportunity to help my team. I was up at the EARLY hour to participate but couldn't.

That's one of the taske where high level players have an advantage. But there are also tasks where low level players have a huge advantage e.g. buying skill points

So - in the end everything is equal and fair again (at least here ;))

Cheers!

hardly equal and fair.

I am sorry, but I don't understand your logic at all. just because buying skill points are cheaper for lower level players does not make the absolute total inaccessability of a herocon task fair to all.  Those higher level players can still buy skill points, they are not excluded from doing that.  Remember, this is a team event, too.  You are excluding entire young teams from playing.

And, to pour salt on the wound a little more, you schedule these villains at all sorts of crazy early morning hours. Some of us set an alarm for these tasks, only to find we are out of it because the villain is in a level we can't access.

Your developers/programmers need to rethink this one.  I am sure you are getting others posting/complaining that they feel disenfranchised.

I understand your points, but I have to admit, looking at this from a larger picture, it is (mostly) fair. Individually it might not seem fair but it is.

A ) Different time for fights has to happen because this is a pretty much a world wide game. They can't put it to where one region gets it middle of the day all the time.. or when it is convenient for our clubs to play. There are people on the other side of the world that want to play along with us but would have to be up in the wee hours to participate. So we get some mid day.. they get some mid day. Fair is fair.

B ) LevelHunter made a valid point. Herocon for skill buy required MORE coins for higher levels to get 1 skill point. Whereas the lower levels could buy 15 to 20 skill points for the same amount of coins thus boosting their club up quicker. No, this is not a restriction factor, but, a young team benefits more on this than a older team. As one herocon doesn't determine the entire course of a game, yes that is a fair trade off.

as proof:

I watch the Herocon points gained in my group and can say that most (not all but most) herocons have different people acquiring points better than they will in other Hercons because of either levels, time zones, strength of character, or, donuts spent. I think this is the main point LevelHunter was making. I don't have the same top 5 each week leading the Herocon in points... but they all play fairly equally in time.

To be frank: There is no way every Herocon is going to be 100% fair to everyone playing. We need to make corrective suggestions to equalize it, but again, lets take me factors out of complaints and look at the entire picture.

Good luck to your team!!!! :)

thanks dwerp.  i very much appreciate your reply. I am relatively new to game but I still feel this is wrong in a big way.

I am not complaining on the hours scheduled at all, totally understand the different time zones worldwide.  But, maybe they need to post location of villain too, only during herocons, so us low level players don't plan and make sacrifices to be there.  that wouldn't be a hard thing to program at all, and I hope someone reads this to add that next time.  i could have stayed in bed, lol, and added to my frustration.

Regarding skill buy, I see higher level players earning a far greater amount of coins due to their level, hideout ug's, team buffs, etc. it's a numbers game. I would be curious to know more how the math works on calculating skill points price.  not quite convinced that an inequality is there, but understand that point somewhat.

Anyway, still learning. hope the developers are too.  thanks again.

Hey I have not been here that long myself but I do read the forums a lot, played a lot of other games and just try to keep things in a larger perspective. I always ask myself is this just unfair to me, or everyone... We are all entitled to our opinions though!!!

This is a good idea! If people knew where the next villain would pop up could create a couple scenarios: people that aren't high enough may spend donuts to level faster etc.. (Playta just tuned in for that), or it could let people as yourself just skip it until the next. Great suggestion!

I am not certain what the ratio is, but all the skills increase in value as you buy them. I had one player on the last skill buy complaining because it was costing 10's of thousands... (not sure exact number) where in I had other players that were buying skills with 1 and 2 thousand points. The coin earn does increase as you go up, but I don't think it is exceptionally equal to the skill buy increase.

Anyway, still learning. hope the developers are too.  thanks again.

See comments in red! Good point on the location!!!

experience wise, most people earn virtually the same whether you level 50 or level 400 ( so reason why a level 200 might win experience weekly tournament and not all level 400s )

coin wise is different per level

thus a level 50 might be happy to find energy used x 1000 in coin amount at missions, while a level 400 expects almost all missions to be at least energy x 1000, and seek the missions that are energy used x 4000

about skill points buy, it increases as you buy more, so if someone does JUST TRAINING and free skill points they might end up being a level 400 who can buy first time for 5 coins, or they could constantly buy skills and be a level 300 and each buy is now over 500,000

I actually understand the concept as they want people to pay more as they increase level but I would put a max of 750,000 per skill buy, don't want to see someone forced to do 1 million coins per skill buy

ahhh, is that how skill point buys work? that makes sense to me!

So, it's actually NOT true about the lower levels getting an advantage then, when herocons are all about buying skill points.  Ha!

Thank you Centella!   good stuff and good info

The higher levels have way more ability to earn higher gold so the smaller characters don't really have that much of an advantage. I can get 80,000+ gold for one mission while they are getting 1000 or less depending on their level. So I agree with the O.P. leaving players out of a mission completely is not fair especially in a game where lower levels do not have much hope of winning anything.

Bewatchy, I totally agree with you.  They should make it accessible to all players.  And for LevelHunter, I totally disagree with you.  The fact that the lower levels pay less for their stats makes no difference.  They make less money at their level too, therefore they can not buy as many stats.  As a high level player on US2 I know the type of coins I can make daily.  Also, events such as the Halloween events gives you more exp/coin payout because you are high level.

This is just another "unfair advantage" for some players.

make less - pay less = result is the same = make more - pay more

Silverwing, did you skip Math classes in school?

Which means they both have about the same ability to buy stat points. Which is her point. no advantage to being smaller. Chumak did you skip manners class?

Yeah, my manners suck sometimes, but luckily, not much else.

You should get new glasses, maybe read a book or two.

Ok I am one of the "oldies" per se.  And as an oldie---I tend to play and stay for loyalty more than fun.  I have gone and come back quite a few times.  And starting new is always more fun to me.   You get a lot of advantages as a new player.  And you get advantages along the way in normal game play.

There advantages for newbies and oldies.  The adantage for an old hoot like me?  Increased strength and levels of course and the increased amount of coins.  The disadvantages?  well I can't get an item with positive stats unless I do a modification.

So you see---it's spred out.   Maybe newbies can't see it yet.  But believe me---you get a lot of advantages.
