The surprises catch the players unprepared, and as they don't know when is the next event, they are many days without connecting and when return they see that lost it, or that no longer time to complete all the missions.
Or in case of the casino, there are many people did not have time to buy donuts and when they buy them, the casino is already gone..
I think if there was a calendar it would be beneficial for both the game and the players because people would have time to buy more donuts and be able to do the events correctly, it would be more organized
If it is for surprises, you can devise more villains or groups of villains who do things that surprise the player
It would be interesting if a villain after being defeated ended up on the floor or with a black eye: D

I think? many times the events are done at most 3 months in advance, many times mere weeks before
but would be nice in certain events ( for example casino one) that they do donuts sales at the same time
and I recommend people to take the time to AT LEAST log in once a week, and ideally log in for 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes before going to sleep to report to the fights and get coins and materials from hideout if they do not have time to do trainings and missions
