the honor race is done by comparing the honor you have at beginning and end of the week ( 9 PM Sunday Pacific time cut off time )
has nothing to do with skill levels
thus all depends on how the rest do
you can do basically one week win 120k honor to get first place (you went from 10k TOTAL honor to 130K ) than next week go down to 10K again, and basically continue like that, winning (or trying as other people might try the same thing ) every 2 weeks
OR
if you a high level
1st week 10K to 130K = 120K for week and first place
2nd week 130K to 250K = 120K for week and first place
3rd week go nude and lose all the way to 10K
4th week start cycle again ( 3 times every 4 weeks going for 1st place )
but remember getting for sure 75 donuts depends on there being no competition by someone trying to get first place also

actually you're both right...
the honor race IS determined by the comparison of your beginning and ending honor.
the honor is lost or gained by winning or losing duels... your current stats determine how well your opponents will win or lose over you, so lowering or raising the amount of damage you do and the amount of hits you can sustain will effect how easily you win or lose each duel, thus affecting your honor.
hope that clears up any confusion ...
of course if everyone is using this trick, it will just change the way each individual plays out their win-lose cycle, not really effecting who wins the most donuts over the long term...

an item they sell in the shop after you reach the triggering level... as usual, it only shows up occasionally... it allows you to reset your stats and redistribute all your earned skill points.
the trick mentioned above is to put all those points into charisma and finesse, and use items/pets that considerably focus on strength and stamina to re-balance your stats... you can use the washing machine to refocus the item stats... you'll still probably have more in charisma and finesse, but that's not completely a bad thing.
