It has come to our attention that some of you have been advised to unbind your account from Facebook, Habbo, Kongregate or some other site where you play, but you haven't yet because you're unsure how to do so, or the difficulty of the process...

It is actually a fairly simple procedure...

Go to the gear in lower right corner... choose Account... at the bottom of the account options, there will be a button to unbind your account... you will be prompted to enter an e-mail address and a password... once you have done so, press the confirm button... viola, your account is unbound...

You should be able to enter via the site you usually use, but also by entering xxx.herozerogame.com  on your browsers command line, where xxx is the server where you normally play.  Your character and stats should be the same as always.

And PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! unbind your account. If for some reason your character gets deleted or lost, it is gone forever unless you unbind it first! This is very important. I've told folks in the past to do this and they blew me off on the subject. Then they lost their character for whatever reason and blew a gasket over it. It's not the company's fault if they can't recover your character if you don't unbind it.

Also, as added incentive, donuts are cheaper on the stand alone site. You get more donuts from the stand alone site when there isn't a sale than you get for the same money on the other sites when there is a sale.

All of this information is obviously absolutely correct. More donuts for your bucks, and also the possibility of recovering a deleted account (inactive accounts get deleted when they reach the 105th inactive day).

Thanks KoT and AS, this is very useful information for those you do not yet know these things.

You might've saved someone a lot of tears and sorrow.

Be kind, unbind.  All the cool kids are doing it.    (smug)

Edit: You can still play through Facebook with an unbound account.

Also, once you unbind, you get a confirmation gear by clicking the confirm account.

Another reason to unbind account... for some platforms you do not have access to Secret Shop. Great gear for the supreme Hero Zero in you.

I'm kinda glad that Steam was down - otherwise I might not have found this thread. I started this game a month ago through Armor Games and didn't even know unbinding was a thing.

Thanks! I'm now free and clear. :)

You can unbind your account at your normal HeroZero-page:

Yes I already contacted support and was basically told 1:  my account does not support unbinding and 2:  there would have to be a patch delivered to allow it

You can unbind your account at your normal HeroZero-page:

Edit: You can still play through Facebook with an unbound account.

Is it also possible to play through Facebook Gameroom if it's an Unbound account?
I prefer Gameroom because I don't get Notification Interference while playing, and it's a larger screen area, too.
