Bad Timing

Okay, I understand the need to roll out game updates.

 

But the last hour of an event is NOT the time to do it. Depending on how long the update process keeps the game unavailable, it may cost me event completion, that I was on track to achieve. I bought multiple energy refills--part of that's on me, because I didn't have time on some days to play out all my free energy. I was about to spend a donut on the Washing Machine (I'm glad I was saving that for last).

 

All for naught.

 

I am more than a little bit upset over this. The more I think about it, I'm going to open a Support Ticket about it, as well--not that I expect any satisfaction beyond knowing for sure that the devs know that they screwed up BIG TIME on this one.

Unlucky mate.

 

It wont be entirely for nothing as you will receive a consolation prize, however losing it over the maintenance is just unlucky.

 

But like with everything its Murphy's law.

Not a remotely useful response. It wasn't something I had a heck of a lot of choice about--finding time for 1000 energy use amongst my other work/life responsibilities was hard enough, but I managed it--or would have, if I'd been given the PROMISED event finish time. I had the rest of the requirements done (except the last Wash, that I was saving the donut for until the energy was used, just in case--wisely, as it happened).

Hi RolandTumble, while I sympathize with your plight, quoting correspondence  from support is not allowed and I am obliged to remove it. I have discussed your problem with my supervisor. Rest assured they are aware of the problem and it is under investigation. I wish I could tell you more.

Don't feel too bad Roland; about 2 years ago I had a team I put about 10,000 donuts into to have the support team change ownership of my team because one user complained because we were not active. Once ownership was change all my friends along with myself were kicked from the team and it was never returned. I with myself of friends boosted the group to 100% expansion which was disappointing to have it changed over because we were not active.

 

I had many of arguments pretty much saying if I pay for the team and choose not to use it actively each day then it is my choice and not theirs to change ownership. Not only did they deny; they blamed me for it being changed!!!  (I know right how dare I pay for something and not use it every day) on top of all this they refused to say it was possible to return the back to me even though they have already used that same power to change it over in the first place.

 

No offence to the support team, but honestly you are really good and pissing people off.

 

Oh and for all the members of "Team Anonymous" I hope you are enjoying what I set up for you.

I was just agitated that I had just spent donuts to activate bonuses that where gone when game reset and upgrade was over. If there is a way of letting us all know that an update is coming in say an hour or 2 would be helpful. Guess I hate spending money on donuts just to loose them by buying a bonuses that last 2 hours and then an update takes that away. But hey I had them for a mind blowing 2 minutes. Sad part is even when the game finished upgrade I did not even get credit for the mission I was on when it booted me out with upgrade. :S  (angry)  :(

Can't judge people on the amount of time they play or when they have the time to play.  Life should always come first before a game.  That's like saying well you should have been playing the event instead of putting your kids to bed at that time.  Pfffft.

 

I think that as time goes on players tend to get to know the timings of the update.  I believe it is Tuesdays right?  They usually give you an hour to half hour notice.  Maybe give the notice earlier in the day so that players can choose how they will handle their play time due to the update.  Maybe give the notice at the previous restart of the day and let the notice stay on all day.  I know it has caught me off guard a couple of times too.

As noted a few comments above this matter has been reported, discussed and investigated so therefore i don't feel the need for people to add to it, if you experience any issues similar please open a ticket with support
