I like the idea of leagues. How many on a team? Will teams be required to re-organize outside of their normal 30 count teams to keep a separate league ranking? Odds are, that even if divided into divisions by level or strength, those that are in the top 3 always will still continue to dominate the top 3 because of their time played in the game, how will that advantage be eliminated?

When can we expect to see leagues started? Its exciting news and I'm sure we all be looking for constant updates. :)

It's a good start from developer hoping to see it can go into cross server league.

Meaning fighting against other players from other servers.

Um without specifics on what the new system will be other than it is under review/discussion, all I can comment is "Good idea". But I will raise a few points that I hope will make it into their discussions...

It would be a shame if they revise the new team system as well to consist of less than 30 as teams will be forced to choose who to divest. Imagine being picked last for a team, now imagine being asked first to leave.

There is a wide range of level differences in the game between players and between current teams. Players who have been with the game longest have an overwhelming stat advantage. Kudos to them and that should not be taken away from them. The flipside are new players who have very weak stats being just fresh off the boat from training island. I mention stats rather than levels as being the highest level does not mean the strongest toon and vice-versa. But teams have a stat called average level and honour for battles seem to be derived from the average level difference between attacking and defending teams. What would be a more accurage guage of a hero's powers, so that fights can be more evenly balanced? Obviouslty basing it on honour is out of the question.

Will players take to the new league their clubhouse boosts? Who would be responsible for maintaining the league? Will it be a new clubhouse system?

What kind of tournament system will be adopted? Swiss Elimination? Round Robins? Last man standing?

HZ Support have been rather underwhelming in terms of responsiveness and timeliness. League events being marquee events, will there be support teams in place to specifically address League event issues IMMEDIATELY so that issues are resolved BEFORE the event completes? Or better yet, before the event starts? Saying that the Devs are looking into it would be rather unsatisfactory. Hate to have something new that will just sit in my queue of support tickets. :)

How much advance warning will be given to let people know of events? Or will they be fixed days of the year?

Well I suppose that will be enough chaff for the mortar and pestle for now... :)

I'm already confused.  A league----and it will be seasonal.  And you can choose if you want to participate.  So is this a way where various individuals from different teams can come in and fight against each other in the league?  You said this was for PvP.  Well how is it going to be PvP if you are basically fighting on another team again?  So yeah---I'm confused.

From my experiences with League Play, your leader would enter your team in the event. The team would decide if they are able to or want to participate. The only way an individual can "not" participate once the team decides to is leave the team. Once entered however, no one can leave or join a team. The event will then be a series of battles in which you progressively  battle other teams and progress into whatever position you wind up in in a sort of Round Robin or Swiss Elimination type system. There should also be a minimum number of players on a team. The league event generally will last for one week in which each team will meet 4 opponents with a rest day between battles. P.S. Lots of events on "Rest day" such as a Villain Raid would be appropriate.

“What would your good be doing if there were no evil, and what would the earth look like if shadows disappeared from it? After all, shadows are cast by objects and people. There is the shadow of my sword. But there are also shadows of trees and living creatures. Would you like to denude the earth of all the trees and all the living beings in order to satisfy your fantasy of rejoicing in the naked light?”
