Wrong Section. The right one is Off Topic. In general we have to talk about general argument for the game.
In second place: the signature dimention allowed is 350x100 pixel.

If there is going to be a rule on signature size it should really be a file size limitation not a dimension limitation.

Back in the day, they used to limit sizes because people's machines would not load a bunch of graphics and bandwidth was very expensive. But that was in 2002. Things have changed a lot since then. A more generous size would be nice. It helps give the poster identity, gives the forum personality. I realize that it means the moderators would have to keep a closer eye on things since people will try to take advantage but it seems they are on that already. Wouldn't you love a more vibrant community?

Because...? Surely the rules are man-made (not handed down by some omnipotent being? & if something is man made it's changeable & mutable - even a countries laws can be changed & aren't carved in stone (look at the amendments to the constitution in the US for example).

Completely agree with other posters here, the signature size rule is a bit daft given that file size is more significant in loading problems than dimensions. And rules are changeable, all rules are changeable. I worked as a moderator on a different forum for a long time and our Developers changed rules in light of what was wanted in the community more than once. We just need to know who to talk to.
And whilst I'm here, I have zero talents in graphic design and no suitable programmes anyone want to make me a sig pic?

Perhaps someone can explain to us why the dimension constraint? Help us understand and perhaps we could find something that works for posters and addresses the site owner's concerns at the same time.
